The thing that's making you tired
Jun 11, 2026
One hour of inspired work beats four hours of uninspired work.
Every time.
You've felt it.
One job takes an hour and feels like ten minutes.
Another takes ten minutes and feels like an hour.
Same person.
Same day.
Completely different energy.
And that's a clue.
Successful farm owners are generally good at lots of things.
That's how they became successful.
The problem is...
Being good at something isn't enough in the long run.
You need to move beyond being good at something…
Sustained success comes from finding and working from your genius.
Your genius sits at the intersection of two things:
- Things that give you energy, AND,
- Things you're great at (or have the potential to become great at).
Miss either one and it doesn't work.
Energy without capability rarely creates exceptional results.
Capability without energy eventually creates exhaustion.
The magic is in the middle.
One of the patterns we've noticed coaching farm owners is this.
What’s making farm owners tired are rarely the things you’re bad at.
It’s usually the things you’re really good at…
But shouldn’t be doing anymore.
The jobs you’ve done for years.
The jobs you feel responsible for.
The jobs you assume nobody else can do properly.
Staff management.
Bookwork.
Operations.
Maintenance.
Whatever it is.
You keep doing it.
Year after year.
Until one day you wake up...
Profitable.
Successful.
Respected.
And exhausted.
Not because you're working too hard.
Because you're spending too much time outside your genius.
Doing things you’re good at, but don’t give you energy.
If you're feeling tired right now...
It might not be a workload problem.
It might be an energy problem.
A role design problem.
A genius problem.
The goal isn't to just build a profitable business.
The goal is to build a profitable business that gives you energy.
One you're proud of.
One that allows you to spend most of your time doing work you love, are great at, and are paid well for.
If this feels like you or someone you know and care about...
Let’s have a chat.
We'll help you identify what's giving you energy, what's draining it, and how to build a business around your genius instead of your obligations.
